I don't mind you being so caught up in your mind
When you're right next to me all the time
All I ask for is once and a while
Lean into me and that is enough to make me melt away

In these past years, all that we've done and
All that we've seen has been just what I needed to fall more in love
Like a tree grows, it may seem a bit too slow at first
But the roots stretch out and rely on each other

With each leaf that falls, a new one can grow
As the old leaf decays, the nutrients enter the ground
Bringing vitality and life back into the old tree
And so life’s basic cadence is all around us
Reminding us that change doesn’t have to be so hard
Most of the time it’s necessary for new beginnings
So let your leaves fall where they may and be foliage at your feet
To allow new leaves to be nurtured by the sun and the soil and the rain
